Merry Christmas from Talamarang!
Merry Christmas beautiful Ones! Amy and I trust you are all enjoying the holiday seasons with family and loved ones… We wish you all peace and joy within each and every moment.
Firstly, we would like to apologise for the delay in keeping all of our supporters updated. We have encountered many significant challenges and as a result, our project delivery has shifted its focus three times since we have been here. We are currently in the final stages of approving our first project. As soon as this project has been approved, we will be sending a very detailed update on all that has transpired, with regular project updates to follow. Thank you so much for your support and patience.
Yesterday we were truly blessed to be able to spend Christmas with our Talamarang family! Our friend Colm told the children to write letters to Santa in which many of them asked for a sharp mind. On Christmas Day the children awoke to find that Santa had left them all presents as well as a collection of socks, bandanas, pens, lollies (Thanks to our friend Bill Winfield and family) and a personal diary and pencil. Santa also left a card which told the children that if they wrote in their diaries every night about how their day went and how they feel, they would all have a very sharp mind. We spent the day having a picnic, cooking chicken and fried bread with Nepali potato salad. The food was definitely a treat as meat is normally only eaten in the village during certain festivals. The instruments were never left alone as we played music to each other, played games and laughed as we always do, often at my embarrassing attempts to communicate in Nepali.
We have attached photos of Christmas Day and other various moments at Team Nepal.
Wishing you and your loved ones an inspiring and joyous holiday season…
We will be in touch very soon with a detailed update..
