Built with LOVE
We have finally completed the Birds of Passage Shree Yana Primary School built by Good Earth Nepal…
What an incredible journey it has been! We have all gone through every possible emotion throughout the project but as we reach the projects completion it is only gratitude and reverence that remains.
Deepest thank you to the newest members of our family, Sara, Paul, Soraya, Itamar and Elad for all your hard work.. Thanks to your efforts we were able to complete smaller side projects for the local community. Itamar will be remembered in the village as the “rato mato” (red mud) specialist, completing an earthen oven and two earthen benches for the village. Our new volunteers were also able to give the community a big head start on an earthbag toilet, which will be completed by the village. Thank you Sara for your wonderful donation of toys and sporting equipment for the children of the school. They were so excited to receive them! Big thank you to all our donors and to Good Earth Nepal and Birds of Passage for making this possible.
Thank you to Stephen for providing us with a solar charger and battery back and thank you to Gisela for delivering this incredibly useful device to us. You have no idea how many times it saved us.
It was very difficult to leave the village after growing so close to the community… We are so grateful for the opportunity to immerse ourselves in Nepali culture and the profound connections we have made with the locals could never be weakened no matter how many miles of ocean lie between us. Thank you to all our donors, supporters, friends an family. This school would not have been possible without each and every one of you!
Amy and I are headed back to Talamarang children’s home to build a 1 kilometer fence around the land of the children’s home. This has been a high priority for the children’s home for several years for the children’s safety. We will be posting our progress in two weeks…
Thank you all!!! We did it!
Much love
Amy and James

The school is beautiful….love being the foundation. The joy on the children’s and your faces tells the story of how working together can get the job done. Your imprint will forever be in the hearts of the people of this village, as theirs will be in yours. God bless you both as you prepare for your journey home. Be safe in your continued travels. Love and blessing always.
